OCF holds journalistic course for all media staffs of its branches

Najaf- Media Department- 23, August, 2015

Headquarters of OCF in Najaf has started yesterday a course concerned with skills of news writing. The course which will last for three days included the staffs of Media Departments related to the foundation.

During his word welcoming the participants in by which he commenced the course, Director general of OCF Audai Al-Jarrah focused on the importance of conveying the true image of the purposeful and humanistic programmes and activities of the foundation through which OCF sponsors more than 100.000 orphans. Besides, Al-Jarrah clarified the efforts the foundation makes to develop the staffs of Media Departments and to enable its staff from covering the activities of the foundation that keen to introduce top services to society.

Throughout his lecture, head of Media Department  Hassan Al-Jarrah explained about news its essence, criteria, and types in addition to the role of correspondents and journalists in news making.

“Working in press arena entails skill, interest in the work, and general and wide knowledge that enable the journalist/ correspondent to make a good work through using his journalistic tools.” Said Hassan Al-Jarrah Head of Media Department

“We need to join such courses that develop our capabilities, enable us from keeping pace with the developments happen in journalism field, and making us capable of conveying the clear image that serves the Iraqi orphans.” Said Muntadhar Al-Musawi the correspondent of Thi-Qar branch

OCF is a national Iraqi NGO sponsored by the office of His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammed Sai’d Al-Hakim and it is registered in Republic Of Iraq by NGOs Directorate in General Secretariat for the Council of Ministers.
